The Yellow Wallpaper

For this project, I wanted to go a little abstract and make a concept based on a short story I had read in my Freshman year of Highschool. The Yellow Wallpaper is a story about women's roles in society and what they're expected to do as a wife and mother. I wanted to take it more literal and focus on the spiral that she goes through all because of the wallpaper in the room she has been secluded to. I was inspired by Edwardian nightgowns, and her explanations of the yellow wallpaper and her surroundings.
