The Masquerade Ball
For this project, I decided to take inspiration from the opulent baroque-style palaces from my visits to Europe, in particular, their bedrooms and furniture details as well as prints and colors they used during that time for upholstery and wallpaper, or decorative elements like filigree, jewels, paintings, and frescos found around the palace.
Taking traditional 17th Century garments and reimagining them for the modern-day masquerade ball.
Polka dots and stripes mixed with traditional filigree patterns in vibrant colors bring an edge to historical clothing while still using elements from the past
