The Lost Trip

This technical design pack is developed using a deconstructed denim kimono.

For this project I focused on a trip I was supposed to go on to Japan and learn about denim, the dyeing techniques, and the history and craft of indigo.

I mixed in a little bit of history and culture in my research of Japan to get a better understanding of that country.

In the end, I created a repurposed denim kimono, using details like different styles of sashiko stitching and gyotaku (fish) printing.
